Pete Harris (American football)

Piero "Pete" Harris (April 7, 1957 – August 9, 2006) was an American football player.

One of nine children, Harris grew up in Mount Holly Township, New Jersey and played high school football at Rancocas Valley Regional High School.[1] He was named an All-American safety at Penn State University in 1978, when he led the nation with 10 interceptions. He is the younger brother of running back Franco Harris.

Harris died in West Palm Beach, Florida in 2006. At the time of his death, he was executive chef at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
